The People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) launched further military maneuvers in global waters close Taiwan, while publishing a propaganda movie entitled "To Defeat Evil" (降妖除魔), widely promoted by state media. The film, prepared by east PLA Theatre Command, shows military exercises around Taiwan as an epic gameplay inspired by Chinese mythology and the aesthetics of computer games. This is not only another act of political demonstration of force, but besides a sophisticated component of the wider strategy of hybrid war and the alleged Lawfare conducted by Beijing towards Taipei."
