

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated Karol Nawrock on Monday on his triumph in the second circular of the presidential election in Poland and expressed his hope for good cooperation with the fresh president and the Polish government.

“The United States congratulates Karol Nawrock on his election as president of the Republic of Poland,” says the Communication published on the U.S. State Department website. "The United States and Poland combine a strong and lasting partnership rooted in common commitment to security, prosperity and the regulation of law. The Polish people spoke and supported the stronger military and the securing of their borders," added.
The Communication stresses that "Poland is simply a model ally and a key associate in strengthening the NATO Alliance and its sovereign integrity in the face of today's challenges and those to come." Cooperation in the energy sector, "including the atomic energy sector", was besides highlighted, which "supports our increasing trade ties and increases Poland's energy security".
"We are pleased to work closely with president Nawrocki and the government of Poland in order to implement our common priorities," the Communication stressed.
Marco Rubio besides congratulated Karol Nawrock in the entry on X.
"Congratulations to President-elect Karol Nawrocki for his hard-earned victory. A fresh chapter begins in Poland. Together, the United States and Poland will make the most ambitious alliance in our common past in defence, energy and trade," wrote the U.S. Secretary of State.

"Nationalist opposition candidate Karol Nawrocki won the presidential election in Poland with a tiny advantage, as the results of Monday showed, giving a serious blow to the efforts of the centre government to strengthen the pro-European orientation of Warsaw," Reuters wrote on Monday.
According to the agency, the consequence of the vote announces a further political deadlock, as the president is likely to usage his presidential veto to thwart Prime Minister Donald Tusk's plans to implement liberal plans.

The fresh president of Poland is to take office on 6 August. He recalled that Karol Nawrocki was hosted by president Donald Trump at the White home Oval Office last month.
