The Confederacy does not leave a dry thread on the government of Donald Tusk and the Citizens' Platform on the EU migration pact. During the press conference, Vice-President of the Confederate Members' Club, Michał Wawer, presented the European Commission's consequence to the request of Euro MP Marcin Sypniewski. This paper seems to contradict earlier assurances of the government, which caused a storm in Polish politics.
Brussels Schizophrenia? The Confederacy accuses Tusk of duality
– Donald Tusk and Citizens' Platform politicians endure from a new, previously unknown illness unit: Brussels schizophrenia," stated Wawer. In his opinion, there is simply a clear discrepancy between the country's declarations and the reality of the EU's arrangements.
According to the Confederate Member, Prime Minister Tusk already accepted the migration pact in the working version at the beginning of his office. This paper requires Poland to accept immigrants from western countries or pay financial penalties. However, as Wawer reminds us, Tusk assured Poles that the country would not gotta accept anyone or pay for the migration pact, or even become its beneficiary.
The European Commission leaves no doubt
The European Commission's answer to Wawer leaves no illusions. "In accordance with European Union law, there is no possibility, there are no mechanisms for Poland to be excluded from any obligations arising from the migration pact," quoted Wawer.
The Confederate politician besides pointed out that the current situation of Poland as a leader in accepting immigrants from outside the EU is not taken into account by Brussels. The presence of millions of refugees from Ukraine and economical migrants from post-Soviet countries in Poland will not, according to the EC, be included in the settlements of the migration pact.
Centers for the Integration of Foreigners have already been established
Wawer stressed that the migration pact is already being implemented in Poland. – The Centres for the Integration of Foreigners, objects whose work to make is due to the Migration Pact, are already created in Poland. Already the first of specified objects are opened, big, luxurious, elegant buildings, which each Polish individual who sees it is pressed against the mouth, that these immigrants will have better conditions there than most Poles have in their homes – said the MP.
Germany sure, Tusk will agree, but after the election
Wawer besides recalled that both the Civic Platform and the PiS have their share of the current situation. That's Donald Tusk's policy. This is besides the policy of the Law and Justice, due to the fact that in the final analysis and behind the flood of immigrants, and for the fact that the Treaty of Lisbon has been signed, that specified things as the Migration Pact can be adopted by a majority in the European Union, can be imposed on Poland without Poland's consent – this is thanks to the Law and the Platform, due to the fact that both parties were actively active in all the processes that led us to the fact that the Union could simply impose specified things – said Wawer.

The Confederation leaves no doubt: according to them, Prime Minister Tusk and the Civic Platform have a two-faced policy on the EU migration pact. The European Commission's consequence seems to confirm these allegations, which puts the government in difficulty. Will Poland truly gotta accept immigrants or pay penalties? Time will tell, but 1 thing is certain – this subject will be present in the Polish public debate for a long time.
