However, the vast majority of both men and women declare to stay in the country. Within the Polish borders, 70% of respondents would remain, and all 3rd is prone to escape.
Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, millions of citizens left the country – mainly women and children, but hundreds of thousands of young men were besides among them. However, the vast majority of Ukrainians remained in a war-torn country, incapable or unwilling to leave it.
How would it be with us? Very similar. According to the fresh poll of the Pollster investigation Institute for “Super Express” – all 3rd surveyed 1 is considering leaving Poland in an emergency situation. However, they are in a number due to the fact that the vast majority of Poles and Poles do not intend to leave their homeland if aggression from the east occurs – they account for as much as 70 percent of respondents.
The survey was conducted by the Pollster investigation Institute for “Super Express” on 10-11 September 2025 on a typical example of 1020 adults Poles.

Less than a week ago, the Pollster investigation Institute conducted a akin survey – besides for the “SE”, in which Poles were asked whether they intend to defend the country, and thus actively engage in war if Russia's aggression occurs. From a fresh survey we know that 70% of citizens intend to stay in Poland, but what will they do here?
According to a survey from almost a week ago – as much as 57% of the survey participants stated that they were "not going to engage" in the defence of the country, i.e. they would not volunteer for the army. Only 26 percent of the respondents declared their willingness to go “in the shackles”. 17% could not answer this question.
Research conducted by the Pollster investigation Institute 10-11.09.2025 by the CAWI method on a typical example of 1020 adult Poles. The estimation mistake was up to 3%.
