Some strangely faint echoed in our media sensational findings of “Die Welt” about how (and on what scale) The European Commission, led by Ursula von der Leyen, has corrupted "green" NGOs to influence MEPs and public opinion in a spirit consistent with the objectives of EU climate policy.
Undisclosed agreements with NGOs, covering up to hundreds of thousands of euros, were to oblige organisations to send a certain number of lobbying letters, post posts on social media and hold meetings with Euro-Parliamentarians, especially before crucial votes. In addition, Brussels-paid organisations were to lobby in individual EU associate States, agitating the adoption of the most ambitious climate agenda as well as against coal energy. In total, we are talking about fat millions of euros spent, among others, in the framework of the EU's LIFE eco-programme with a budget of EUR 5.4 billion.
However, this is not the end, because, in addition to the "soft" lobbying, the European Commission besides paid "green" legal organisations to terrorise European mining and energy companies with lawsuits. And so the ClientEarth Foundation was to receive EUR 350 000 to process German coal plants. In turn, Friends of the Earth was to act against the Mercosur trade agreement. Especially the second case is fascinating. It turns out that the EU has financed opposition to a task which at the same time has been intensively pushing – it is known that the finalisation of the agreement with Mercosur is the eye of Ursula von der Leyen. Thus, the Brussels authoritative corrupt Byzantium has grown to specified an degree that it has ceased to control even who it pays and for what purpose, which is simply a beautiful example of an all-encompassing degrengolade devouring the EU headquarters.

A fewer more words on the processes of green law firms. 1 of the leaders of this process is undoubtedly the already mentioned ClientEarth Foundation, specialising in "climate lawsuits". It has a evidence of suing 11 Shell board members for "inappropriate hazard management in the context of the climate crisis" (finally the suit was rejected by the British ultimate Court), but in fresh years the "green lawyers" besides appeared in Poland. ClientEarth sued among others: Bełchatów Power Plant, demanding a departure from lignite combustion in 11 oldest blocks until 2030, Enea for the investment in Ostrołęka Power Plant, as well as the leading Polish ecogross distributor.
