Judgment of the Court of Justice in WIBOR in credit agreements. Is there a historical breakthrough in protecting the rights of gold borrowers?

On 11 June 2025, the Court of Justice of the European Union will deal for the first time in past with a Polish gold debt whose interest rate is based on the WIBOR benchmark. The case was registered under the signature C-471/24 and went to the Court as a consequence of a preliminary ruling by the territory Court in Czestochowa. This is simply a crucial minute in the past of the Polish financial marketplace – comparable to the beginning of the French cases in the EU.
