Soldiers of the Polish Army, scouts, reconstruction groups, residents of Warsaw and, above all, respective twelve National Army veterans passed through the streets of the capital in the Department of respect under the motto “In love with Poland”. For the second time on 14 February, the National Day of Memory of National Army Soldiers is celebrated in Poland. This year's celebrations were of a unique character – at the initiative of the Office for Combatants and Represented People, the planet Association of Soldiers of the AK, the Warsaw authorities and the Jan Karski Institute of War Loss, the streets of the capital passed through the Defilad of Respect. The Royal way march was attended by soldiers of the Polish Army, scouts, reconstruction groups and residents of Warsaw. But the main guests of the celebration were, of course, the National Army combatants. In the vacation atmosphere, the march reached the National Army and Polish Underground State Memorial, where the central celebrations were held.
– The National Army has formed hundreds of thousands of Poles. She established a tradition of faithful fighting for Poland in thousands of Polish houses – said Janusz Komorowski, ps. “Antek”, president of the Board of the planet Association of Soldiers of the AK at the celebrations. As he added, the most crucial fight of the AK was about human values, and her soldiers never lost their religion in the final victory. And although the "tragic destiny made it not given to Poland", and the National Army was dissolved a fewer months before the end of planet War II, its ideas were continued by members of the alleged second conspiracy, this time aimed at the second totalitarianism – the Communist russian Union.

In his speech, Capt. Hm. Komorowski pointed out how crucial it was for the Akowski community to establish their holiday. He warmly thanked all those who contributed to this "historical justice." “This vacation will remind the planet of heroism, integrity, fidelity to the ideals of Polish spirit and self-serving service of Poland,” added the president of the Union.
– Soldiers of the National Army despite deficiency of supplies, in the face of the constant threat led consistently a comprehensive fight against the occupier. The point and intent of this fight was best given to the first commandant of the AK General Stefan Rowecki "Grot", saying: "We are not fighting for ideals separated from life, we are fighting for man, for his right to freedom, to dignity, to fact and to his own homeland. These words besides sound highly present today," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The Prime Minister pointed out that the meaning of these words had not lost its meaning despite the passing of years, as will be evidenced by the fact that on Saturday he would have the chance to say them again. He referred to his speech at the global safety Conference in Munich.

- The AK didn't fight for ideals torn from life. She fought for man – for his right to freedom, dignity, fact and his own Homeland – stated the head of the government. – The symbol of fighting Poland became a sign of opposition of the Polish people. It is not only a symbol – it is simply a declaration: Poland exists, Poland fights, Poland will not give up," he added. – Let the legacy of the soldiers of the National Army proceed in our hearts and let it be a constant inspiration for us and future generations of Poles – the Prime Minister concluded.
On behalf of a generation of young Poles, Maciej Musiał, actor whose grandpa – Captain Marian Markiewicz, nicknamed “Maryl” – was a soldier of the Home Army. – Your attitude shows us that freedom is not obvious. It is born of courage, sacrifice and readiness to act. You have fulfilled your work to the Homeland, following the footsteps of earlier generations and defending the origin of a just – free Poland – said the artist and added that thanks to the perseverance and fidelity of the AK generation present Poles can live in an independent country.

We see threats and conflicts, but we besides see that more and more young people are rediscovering the importance of patriotism, work and community. It is your evidence that gives us strength and motivation – he assured.
National Day of Memory of National Army Soldiers was established last year on the anniversary of the establishment of the National Army in 1942. A group of MPs, in consultation with the Office for Combatants and Represented Persons and the planet Union of National Army Soldiers, submitted the bill.
