Prof. Magdalena Wednesday does not hide her disappointment at the results of the presidential election. In sharp words he comments on the future of Poland under Karol Nawrocki, calling it “the kingdom of Our woman and the President.” Are we truly looking forward to changing the image of the country to an “exotic wall”?
“My Poland I see a huge... full of churches and kibboli”
In his emotional Facebook entry, prof. Wednesday presents a imagination of Poland, in which conservative values will dominate, and the country will turn into a place full of churches, monuments and commemorations of “soldiers cursed”.
“In the coming years we will have churches (with the emergence of 'recalls', due to the fact that it will be interesting again), monuments (maybe already Jarosław?), museums and memorial sites for 'soldiers cursed', stadiums and with them kibol groups” – writes the philosopher.
According to Wednesday, Poland from a European country can turn into an “exotic, picturesque wall—the kingdom of Our woman and the President”.
"A terrible country, terrible people, terrible president"
The prof. leaves no illusions about his feelings after announcing the election results. In social media, she called Nawrocki "a football player and a bodyguard", expressing the difficulty in accepting the choice of most Poles.
"Some people are comforted that Poland survived the commune, it will besides last Nawrocki's presidency. A mediocre comfort, due to the fact that neither Gomulka nor Gierka chose the nation, and knowing that half the citizens and citizens chose this mediocre copy of Trump and condemned Poland to ridicule is hard to bear.” – adds.
Trzaskovsky Evening, Navrocksky Night
The election results were dynamic – exit poll IPSOS pointed to the minimum advantage of Rafał Trzaskowski (50.3% vs 49.7%), but the later survey of the Late Poll reversed these proportions (50.7% for Nawrocki). In the end, PKW confirmed Nawrocki's triumph with the consequence 50.89% Voices.
Will prof. Wednesday’s imagination come true? Will Poland truly become “the kingdom of Our woman and the President”? Time will tell, but 1 thing is certain – the division of society remains deep, and emotions after elections are inactive alive.
