On September 16, 2026, the results of a quality survey of Chinese cars, organised by the Chezhiwang service and Kairui Saichi advisory company, were announced in Beijing. During the first 8 months of the year, the Chezhiwang service accepted nearly 180 1000 complaints (an increase of 15.46%), and the time to the first responsibility decreased to 7.4 months – in electrical cars it is even shorter.
The quality of intelligent cockpits, driver support systems and battery-engine-electronic strategy is rapidly deteriorating. Drivers complain of incorrect NOA navigation reactions, inaccurate coverage indications and loading problems. The quality of conventional drive systems – engines and gearboxes – is constantly increasing, but the software – hanging screens, slowing down, no OTA update – is simply a common problem for all types of vehicles.
A parallel examination of electrical systems showed that hybrids with a scope extension device (EREV) enjoy the highest quality, overtaking plug-in hybrids; clean electrics at the end, but with a growth trend. In the summertime they carry out 71.46% of the declared range, in the winter by about 11 points percent less; the biggest problem remains the inaccuracy of indications of the remaining course.

The State marketplace Supervisory Authority approved the first national standard for quality management and faults of automotive software. Work started on the manufacture standard of assessment of perceived quality of batteries, engines and control systems – co-created by, among others, BYD, CATL and EVE Energy. According to the report, quality has become a key origin in long-term revenues and marketplace share.
