Chinese abroad Office: Beijing does not want a trade war with the US, but does not fear it

A spokesperson for the Chinese abroad Ministry Lin Jian assessed on Thursday during a regular briefing that the United States' maintenance and increase of customs on Chinese goods, despite suspending them against most another countries, is "an alarming act, contrary to the will of the world".
