Opinions on China
Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission at the session of the EU Parliament in Strasbourg, on his return from China:
* Oh, my God * It is not feasible, desirable or applicable for the European Union to separate itself from China. The EU will search to diversify sources of supply alternatively than alleged "decoupling". He does not want to break economic, social, political and technological ties with China. The parties have many strong links, China is an crucial trading partner for the EU as a whole. It is so crucial to keep good relations with the mediate State.
Balance between relations should be restored based on transparency, predictability and reciprocity. China and the Union should work together, not face each other. Relations should be built on pragmatism and rationality. No substance what we think, China is simply a global player and Europe should adapt to the fresh situation. There are many challenges facing the Union and China that require work together. The EU should have a uniform and very clear image of the risks, but at the same time besides of the opportunities offered by relations with China. It may and must make its own, separate, circumstantial European approach to cooperation with the mediate State.
* Oh, my God * Taiwan - The EU inactive powerfully opposes any unilateral change in the position quo in the Taiwan Strait, especially by force. position quo has enabled peaceful development, economical growth and prosperity to be built throughout the region.

In the margins
A fresh face of Chinese politics is born before our eyes.
- For the first time in the past of the PRC, the leader of the country, specifically Xi JinPing, entered publically in the American baseball cap on his head. This has not happened before. Is this an effort to warm the image of a leader?
- Since our visit to Moscow and talks with president Putin, we have seen the emergence of a fresh “citizen” associated with authoritative meetings of Xi with the heads of another countries. authoritative talks between leaders are completed by a gathering with national and abroad media. It is not a press conference, but events in which the media participate. The leaders of the states shall make authoritative statements summarizing the discussions. The first rows in the Chamber include members of government delegations and persons participating in talks from both sides. Journalists observe and evidence all this, but they do not have the chance to ask questions.
The script observed in Moscow was repeated at the end of the authoritative visit of French president Emmanuel Macron.

- There is besides another “new tradition” associated with Xi meetings with abroad leaders. It's part of an unofficial meeting. In the case of president Macron's visit, it was more than six hours spent in rule exclusive in the company of interpreters, during which the gentlemen spoke only to them, and on this occasion they watched valuable works of art, listened to music especially for them, walked in a vast historical park, drank tea, and yet ate dinner, besides in the company of interpreters.
