China wants to stabilise Chinese-American relations

"Our top precedence is to stabilise Chinese-American relations and avoid any misunderstandings after a series of U.S. miswords and actions," said China's abroad Minister Qin Gang on Monday during a conversation with the U.S. Ambassador to Beijing Nicholas Burns.
