A peculiar envoy of Chinese president Xi Jinpinga met on Friday in Caracas with Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro and confirmed strong economical ties between the 2 states.

A gathering at Miraflores Palace on Friday takes place while Venezuela struggles to escalate tensions in relations with Washington.

Qiu Xiaoqi, peculiar typical for Latin America and the Caribbean, presided over a Chinese delegation consisting of Ambassador to Venezuela Lan Hu and another high-ranking officials.

"I am very happy to welcome you. Thank you and president Xi Jinping for his brotherhood and the message of a strong leader to the world” said Maduro during the meeting, alongside the oil minister and vice president Delcy Rodriguez.

The Venezuelan government stated that the gathering served “the consolidation of a new, multipolar planet order”.

It highlighted ‘unwavering” the nature of the relation between Caracas and Beijing, especially in the face "one-sided coercion measures" and efforts to ‘swing development’ for the Global South countries.

Beijing has not yet published the gathering report, but according to Caracas, Qiu Xiaoqi stressed that China and Venezuela are "strategic test partners" and that their relations are a valuable chance for the People's Republic.

The demonstration of support from China follows Russia's fresh condemnation of US actions in the region.

Moscow has confirmed its solidarity with Venezuela, which faces a naval blockade in the Caribbean.

U.S. president Donald Trump justified U.S. military attacks on alleged drug smuggling ships and a naval blockade of Venezuelan tankers, claiming it was part of a run to destruct ‘Cartelu de los Soles’, accusing him of ties to Maduro's government—an accusation that Caracas powerfully denied.

Maduro said he was open to talks with the Trump administration on drug trafficking, and even Venezuelan oil reserves, but added that he refused to consider what Caracas described as attempts "extortion".

“The U.S. government knows due to the fact that we have told many of their spokespersons that if they want to talk seriously about the agreement on combating drug trafficking, we are ready” said in an interview published on Thursday.

"If Venezuela wants oil, it is ready for American investments, specified as Chevron, anytime, wherever and wherever it wants".
