China said it was imposing a fresh 125 percent tariff on U.S. imports, up from the 84 percent announced Wednesday. It means that tariffs on U.S. goods imported into China are inactive somewhat lower than those on Chinese goods imported into the U.S., on which Washington has imposed tariffs totaling 145 percent.
