China imposes sanctions on 2 EU banks. This is retaliation for the effects of Brussels on Russia

The Ministry of Commerce of the PRC announced on Wednesday the decision to impose sanctions on 2 Lithuanian banks in retaliation for the inclusion in July of Chinese entities in the 18th restrictive package against Russia. The authorities of the PRC stress that EU action has violated global law and the interests of Chinese companies. Vilnius' relation with Beijing has been strained for over a year.
