The John Paul II Urban Kindergarten in the Śląski Site was destroyed by flooding for the 3rd time since 1997. Within the line of effort, health, i.e. 1 of the 5 lines (security, health, mobility, logistics, training) on which Operation Pk. Phoenix is based, children from the naturally affected facility went to the alleged green school in Pieczysk, Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. It is an component of taking care of physical health, as well as the intellectual state of the kindergarten wards and their parents after the tragic events they witnessed after 15 September.
Joint initiative

A week off
At the request of the head of the kindergarten Mr.Celina Chęś-Drańczuk, psychologists of 8.K-PBOT will besides be present. - "We are presently conducting classes with children in rooms separated by the school in the Śląski Site. However, this cannot full replace the needs we have erstwhile taking care of young children aged up to 6 years. Therefore, we effort to partially organize their time in a different way, sending them on trips and green schools. Children ask what they have seen and sometimes it is hard to find the right explanation for what happened to specified tiny people. Going to a place with beautiful natural circumstances, where they will have time arranged throughout the day, will let you to catch your breath. In our facility we have completely broken plasters, floors, destroyed furniture and toys. There's virtually nothing left but bare walls, roofs and floors. After we're dry, we'll start the renovation. It now appears to be possible to terminate it in the early spring of 2025.
Operation pk. Phoenix
Operation Phoenix has been moving since 23 September 2024. All 5 types of Armed Forces of Poland are involved. Initially, the main effort was to strengthen floodbanks and evacuate the population from the flooded area. Currently, soldiers execute tasks related to the reconstruction of major bridges, the provision of communication lines, the strengthening of roads, but besides the support of the local community in the removal of flood pollution. They besides supply food, distribute meals, water. For more than a period there has been a field infirmary in Nysa, there is besides disinfection of streets and apartments. Since the beginning of the operation, the Commander of the Territorial Defence Army has commanded Brig. Gen. Dr. Krzysztof STAŃCZYK.
