They want the death punishment for the erstwhile president

A squad of South Korean peculiar prosecutors requested the death punishment for erstwhile president Jun Suk Jeola. "Jun showed no remorse for his actions which caused a serious violation of constitutional order and democracy," said the prosecutor. The erstwhile leader is accused of coup d'état, abuse of power, and aiding the enemy state in connection with the short-term introduction of martial law by him in 2024.
