Chaos in municipal waste charges. RPO presses the Ministry of Climate

The Ombudsman's Office intervenes in the Ministry of Climate and Environment on unclear rules for charging municipal waste charges. The RPO is affected by many complaints concerning buildings with multiple owners where no separate ownership of premises has been established. In specified cases, serious doubts arise who should pay for garbage. The RPO asks whether the ministry sees the problem and whether it plans to solve it.
