The legislature of the Confederation is simply a body convened erstwhile all 5 years, whose competence includes, among others, the appointment of members of the 12-member Board of Leaders for a five-year term.
Tumanowicz, who presided over the legislature on Saturday, explained in an interview with PAP that the list of members of the Council did not include members of the Confederation of the Polish Crown Włodzimierz Skalik and Robert Iwaszkiewicz. Mr Roman Fritz, besides an activist of “Corona”, withdrew from moving for its structures.
Moreover, as Tumanovich said — Skalik and Iwaszkiewicz, by decision of the Court of Partition, were excluded from the organization on Thursday. However, the Skalik remains a associate of the parliamentary club.
A break in the Confederacy. Grzegorz Braun wants to be president
The changes concerning activists of the Confederation of the Polish Crown are linked to the January decision of Grzegorz Braun to run against the party's findings in this year's presidential election. The Confederation's authoritative candidate is Sławomir Mentzen. Skalik and Iwaszkiewicz were removed due to their support for Braun's candidacy; Skalik is besides the head of his election staff.
The names of the Council of Leaders established on Saturday are: Deputy talker of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak, Euro MP Anna Bryłka, Marek Szewczyk from the party's legal office, MP Krzysztof Tuduj, MP Witold Tumanowicz, Paweł Usiądek, Euro MP Marcin Sypniewski, MP Bartłomiej Pejo, MP Konrad Berkowicz, MP Grzegorz Płaczek, Bartosz Bocheńczak and Euro MP Stanisław Tyszka.
Janusz Korwinn-Mikke accuses and goes to court
In July of last year, erstwhile organization MP Janusz Korwin-Mikke informed about the Confederacy's refusal to mention to the Congress, to which, erstwhile all 5 years, I am bound by the Statute. Korwin-Mikke so submitted a request to the territory Court in Warsaw to establish for the organization of the curator who was dismissed by the court. The Court of First Instance held that, pending the fresh composition of the Confederate bodies, members of the erstwhile Members proceed to fulfil their duties.
The MP and the Confederate Treasurer Michał Wawer then explained that the party's legislature would be convened “in due time”. He argued that "in no grouping the mediate of the electoral cycle is simply a time to change interior authorities".
The Confederation is now formed by formations: Nowa Nadzieja (formerly KORWIN), the leader of which is MP Sławomir Mentzen, National Movement — with Krzysztof Bosak at the head and Confederation of the Polish Crown, led by Grzegorz Braun.
