The leaders of 22 EU countries, including Prime Minister Donald Tusk, warned against undermining the integrity of the external borders following the events in Ceuta. The leaders of 22 EU countries sent a joint letter to the heads of the EU institutions. According to Gazeta.pl, Prime Minister Donald Tusk was among the signatories. The authors declared their determination to prevent attempts to undermine the integrity of the external borders of the Community. A direct mention point was the fresh developments in Ceuta, a Spanish exclave located in North Africa.

It is not adequate to have a strict language for Ceuta if, in another matters, the state is to be pressured to accept the costs of uncontrolled migration.
The stakes for Poles are specific. It is about security, public spending and maintaining the state's ability to decide who crosses its limits. Aid to persons in real request of protection must not mean consent to the method of facts done. The legal order must be clear: entry is carried out with the consent of the State, not under crowd force or smuggling networks.
The letter of 22 leaders will only substance if it translates into practice. Europe already knows the price of late reactions. Poland should guarantee that the declaration on the integrity of borders is not disarmed one more time by the political convenience of Brussels.
