Center of Life and Family: End of the year - end of term!

We called for schools to stay a place to form children and young people in a spirit of respect for life, designation of the function of matrimony and family. So that they do not become a place to spread a harmful imagination of sexuality and sexuality under the appearance of passing on wellness knowledge.

We protested against throwing spiritual lessons out of schools.

Finally, we demanded the resignation of Minister Nowacka as a individual compromising the ministry and threatening the appropriate improvement and education of the young generation.

Because what happens in Polish schools under the leadership of the Minister makes it impossible for anyone who cares about the welfare of children to stand idle.

For another year like this we simply cannot let – especially since the plans of the ministry are getting bolder, and despite the protests, the minister does not perceive to the voice of her parents.

But I have no illusions! After our vacation, we are facing decisive challenges, and the determination with which the minister works shows that she will do anything to guarantee that her revolutionary intentions come to fruition.

That's why these 2 months won't be idle. This is the minute erstwhile we request to close up and prepare for – possibly – the final and decisive clash with Minister Nowacka!

Before I tell you what awaits us after our vacation, I want to make it clear where we started and how much we have done in fresh years of government, the Minister. due to the fact that it wasn't passive reflection time. It was a time of conflict — fought on many fronts at once.

Three years ago, as 1 of the first in Poland, we called for the ban on smartphones in schools. The “School without Smartphones” run collected a low interest of politicians. The government of the United Right approached her with restraint. The fresh head of the ministry initially rejected the case — Mrs Nowacka claimed that schools were "not ready".

Today – erstwhile Barbara Nowacka felt, it seems, the “wind of change” – the ban on smartphones in schools yet becomes reality. We are pleased with the fact that children raised without digital addiction are our common goal. But we do not yield to illusions: It's the consequence of political calculation, not kid care.

We besides fought for a school free of ideology — and we did so from the very beginning. From the minute we saw what the ministry's fresh leadership was up to, we didn't wait. We have entered into an agreement with another organizations within the framework of the Coalition for the Salvation of the Polish School, together creating a wide front for environments fighting for the repair of education. We mobilised Poles, co-organized protests, produced banners and materials, informed the public through our social media and newsletters.

Hundreds and thousands of people went out on the streets with us. — from the protest in Castle Square on 1 December, to successive conventions across Poland, to the demonstration just 2 weeks ago. Each of these protests is simply a clear signal: Polish parents do not sleep, do not stay silent and do not intend to give their children without a fight.

We wanted the minister to know who she was dealing with. And I think he already knows.

During this time we besides launched 4 separate petitionswhich have made up over 200,000 signatures today.

Petition “Stop Sexualizing Children” — she called for the subject to be left in school to be raised in the family, for the resignation of compulsory wellness education including permissive sexual education, and for respect for the constitutional rule of parental parenthood. due to the fact that if parents, who are the first and most crucial educators of their children, are to be marginalized by ministerial experts, it is time to say no to that. It was signed by over 75,000 people.

"Nowacka must go" — submitted after the minister declared compulsory wellness education. Even though more than 70% of the students were enrolled in the school year. Seventy percent. In a average world, it would be a signal to retreat the project. The minister considered him a reason to fix it. This is the “youngest” from the petition, so it only collected about 13,000 signatures.

Petition “Religion stays in school” — protest against systematically pushing spiritual lessons to the margins: reducing hours, removing grades from certificates, bringing students into interclass groups. due to the fact that the regulation of religion at school, although presented as a neutral organizational decision, is in fact a purely planet view choice — made above the heads of parents. Signs filed: over 48,000.

Petition ‘Dimisia Nowacka’ — the Minister of “Polish Nazis building camps” composed by her words. But not only that. besides in consequence to the removal from the basis of programming content concerning Polish past and national heroes. The school, which is ashamed of its own history, does not rise citizens, but people without roots and their own identity, and thus just a step to make a perfectly artistic “new man” ready to work on left-wing prayer. Almost 74,000 signatures were submitted under this appeal.

All 4 initiatives combine the common denominator: the defence of the constitutional right of parents to rise children according to their own beliefs and opposition to the ideology of the Polish school.

Such petitions are needed!

But our top common success, I believe, — which must not be forgotten — was to halt imposing compulsory wellness education. Over 2,000,000 children were discharged from this subject by their parents. In any voivodships, the scale of resignation was 80%. It is hard to imagine a clearer sign of opposition.

The answer to all destructive changes in Polish schools is the household Friendly School program. We want not only to block bad solutions, but besides to build good ones.

We work with schools and teachers who realize that education should support parents, not replace them. Who want to accompany families in raising children to value, in respect for life and family. In Poland, where the ministry does everything to dissuade parents from the process of education, specified teachers and specified schools are of the importance of gold.

We travel all over Poland, gathering with parents, students and teachers. We talk about what the reforms are truly about — without euphemisms, without ministerial jargon. all specified gathering has an effect: more and more people join our group, less and less want to be put to sleep by assurances from the Ministry of Education.

But our work doesn't end in meetings. We prepare educational materials, outlines and teaching aids that go straight to schools. Tools that aid teachers to talk about family, life and values in a fair, beautiful and free of ideological pressure. It is best to see that good education is not born from ministerial decrees. It starts in a classroom, in a relation between a teacher and a student — and should strengthen what the kid carries out from home.

Ladies and gentlemen,

It's not over yet.

Contrary to what might seem, the submission of over 200,000 signatures does not close the story. It opens a fresh chapter, possibly the most hard chapter.

Mrs Barbara Nowack is not going to stop. It works with determination and, to put it plainly, with large insolence.

As of September, compulsory wellness education is expected to begin. In the consultation basis, the content on sexuality and relationships besides appears in the mandatory part: relativizing the durability of marriage, aligning it with the informal relationship, informing about childlessness by choice. Contrary to ministerial assurances, it is not adequate to release the kid from the optional part so that it does not come into contact with the content of his life - style!

Therefore, autumn will be decisive. And we're already getting ready for it.

We plan further meetings at schools and with our parents — due to the fact that education is our frontline.

We will monitor the basics and textbooks as shortly as they arrive.

We will respond — so that the minister hears our voice and cannot ignore it.

We proceed with the household Friendly School program. And we don't halt in legal acts or citizen campaigns.

But it all costs money.

Only in the last 3 months we have travelled over 3200 km, traveling through Poland to further schools. In addition, the cost of developing and distributing conspects and teaching aids each period to nearly 800 institutions associated with the household Friendly School program. The cost of printing material, posters or pickets for protests. The cost of promoting our petitions.

Therefore, present – at the end of this school year – I am asking for your help. A donation of PLN 50, PLN 100 or PLN 200 or PLN 500 or more will let us to operate throughout our holidays and enter the fresh school year with full mobilisation.

I thank with all my heart all individual who trusted us and took sides with the good of Polish school.

But this force only makes sense if we do not remainder on our laurels after petitioning.

Together we can make the voice of Polish parents heard – not only in the Ministry of National Education or the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, but in all class, in all school and in all area where individual tries to decide about our children without our consent.
