Prayer, workshops in groups, concerts and testimonies were fulfilled by participants of the youth gathering in Niepokalanów. At the retreat, which lasted from 11 to 15 July, young people could besides learn about the activities of the Life and household Centre and the Ordo Iuris Institute.
“I listen, I think, I believe” is the slogan that accompanied the youth retreats in Niepokalanów. The plan of the several-day event abounded in prayer, meetings with interesting guests, singing workshops and concerts.
Among the guests invited to the event were, among others, actor Marcin Kwasny, who about the experience of God's action in his life. Fr Jakub Kamiński, Franciscan from Łódź, besides left the evidence of faith.
The participants of the Max Festival in Niepokalanów were besides met by Marcin Perłowski, manager of the Centre of Life and Family, associate of the board of Ordo Iuris, who told young people about the request to form character.
We have a baggage of household experiences, a place where we grow up, experiences we experience, but that doesn't find us. We can change that... Nature can be shaped – he spoke to the youth gathered.
Marcin Perłowski spoke about the function of work in human life, the function of freedom, and the request to reflect on life, the future, the intent of human life, which will let consciously and in the spirit of religion to grow, form and make good choices.
The manager of the Center for Life and household pointed out the modern reality of children and young people, which is dominated by electronic devices, smartphones, which, although carrying any good, besides contribute to the demolition of a young man.
Marcin Perłowski pointed out the problems young people face, including those resulting from excessive usage of smartphones, electronic devices and social media.
As he recalled, young people utilized phones consciously, e.g. to call their grandma or check the information. present we usage these devices very frequently to fill time. He stressed the importance of digital minimalism, the conscious and rational usage of smartphones, which will defend itself from addiction.
The participants of the Max Festival in Niepokalanów could receive free publications, films, educational materials on life defence, specified as information material on the activities of the Life and household Centre and the Ordo Iuris Institute. Young people could have provided educational publication Genesis and Jasia – a model of a 10-week-old child, which was donated by the tiny Feet Foundation.
