Cenckiewicz in an interview with RMF FM assessed that there is now a favorable minute to restart the draft, suspended years ago.

Cenckiewicz stressed that the return to the collection, suspended in 2010, should be part of a wider safety strategy. He pointed out the request to talk openly about threats and to prepare society through training, developing civilian protection and creating alternate places for hospitals and medical activities for the duration of any conflict.
However, the President's office distanced itself from the statements of the Head of the BBN, commenting on his suggestions for restoring the collection. According to Zbigniew Bogucki, head of the President's Chancellery, in an interview with Super Express:
Different options request to be considered, and there are surely no decisions in this regard. It is not that, as far as safety is concerned, we will change everything through 1 move.
No problem with the volunteers.
President Nawrocki commented on Cenckiewicz's message in an interview with journalists during his visit to Riga.
As far as military service is concerned, we have voluntary primary service today. As I know from analyses and statistics, we do not have a large problem with the Polish Army. present there are many willing Polish patriots who want to undertake military training in this format of voluntary essential service.
President Nawrocki pointed out that the situation mentioned by Cenckiewicz cannot be excluded.

It should be recalled here that the primary military service in Poland was suspended in 2010 by the defence minister Bogdan Klich in the government of Donald Tusk, due to the conversion of the army to a full professional model and modernization of the armed forces. The last draft took place in 2008, and since then military service in Poland has been voluntary.
