Celebration of the millennium of Chrobry coronation in Kraków

On the 12th of April, Kraków celebrated 1 of the most crucial events in the past of our country. A 1000 years ago, in 1025 Bolesław Chrobry was crowned the first king of Poland. On this occasion, the Social Committee named Bolesław Chrobry decided to organise the celebration of this anniversary.

Celebrations began in the intention of the Homeland in the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the NMP on 19 Copernicus Street. Mass was celebrated in a conventional Roman ritual. Fr Grzegorz Sniadoch gave a sermon on the importance of coronation and national traditions.

The participants then went to Matejka Square, where the Millennium Coronation March began. The first speech was given by Sławomir Skiba (the Association of Christian Culture by the name of Piotr Skarga), then by a typical of the Monarchical-Reaction Union. At 12 o'clock respective 100 people marched down Florianska Streets, Main marketplace Square, Grodzka, Podzamcze ending at Napoleon's large Army Square. During the demonstration, the national anthem, God's Something Poland, God's parent and Young Hymn by Jan Kasprowicz was sang. Participants chanted slogans specified as "The Chrobry Sword, the White Eagle - these are our ideals" or "From Gievont to Hel- strong Poland is our goal" - referring to the ideals of Bolesław Chrobry, which was to make his state sovereign and strong. The march enjoyed the interest of passersby who joined the march.

Another speech took place in Napoleon's large Army Square. The first talker was the typical of the Premural Brotherhood, then the MP spoke at the Polish Parliament Krzysztof Tuduj (National Movement). In his speech he emphasized the importance of strong leadership in the modern world. Marcin Osowski, president of the youth patriotic organization “Youth of All Poland” spoke last. He pointed out that the Piast heritage is an thought of modernization of the state, and in our geographical position there is no place for weakness, which is frequently presented by unambiguated IIIRP politicians.

At the end of this part of the celebration, Rota was sung. After the march, a large part of the participants went to a conference devoted to the thought of a hub and the coronation of Chrobry in the Golden Tulip Hotel itself. It featured representatives of the planet of science, politics and media.

The Social Committee named Bolesław Chrobry, a bottom-up initiative of the City of Kings, is simply a broad agreement of the organizations. It was composed of the All-Polish Youth, the National Movement, the Malopolska Bunt, the Association of Christian Culture by the name of Piotr Skarga, the Brotherhood of the Premural, the Monarchical-Reaction Union and the Academic corp of the Acrobaty Cracoviensis. The intent of his appointment was to commemorate Chrobry's coronation. Organizers are satisfied with the attendance and form of the event.
