On 12 May, the 90th anniversary of the death of Marshal Józef Piłsudski – 1 of the most prominent creators of independent Poland.

The Sejm of the Republic of Poland, by a resolution adopted on 9 May this year, celebrated the memory of the Marshal, honoring his attitude, and besides expressed his highest appreciation for political and military activity in order to regain independency by our Homeland.

W The central celebration of the 90th anniversary of the death of Józef Piłsudski was held in Warsaw. On the Jerzy Giedroycia Square, a Marshal's defender officer, on behalf of the talker of the Sejm Simon Holownia, laid a wreath before the monument of the Chief of State. Then, before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, there was a solemn change of the honorary post, as well as a ceremony of laying wreaths before the monument of Józef Piłsudski. In the Warsaw celebrations of Marshal Simon Holovnia was represented by MP Alexander Leo.
