The 10th Świętokrzyska Brigade of Territorial Defence celebrated its festival for the sixth time. On 11 June a solemn appeal was held on the territory of Kielce Bukówka. During the ceremony, Colonel Sławomir Machniewicz, commander of 10 ŚBOT, presented the soldiers with medals, badges and distinctions.
The day of June 11 is peculiar for soldiers of the 10th Świętokrzyskie Brigade of Territorial Defence. It's our Christmas day. On this occasion, at 12:00 a.m., soldiers organized a solemn appeal which took place in Kielce's Bukovka. The ceremony was attended by parliamentarians, representatives of local authorities, associations institutions actively cooperating with the brigade, WOT commander, representatives of military institutions and uniforms, combatants, military honorary assistance, WOT typical orchestra from Radom and soldiers and brigade staff.
The 10th Świętokrzyskie Brigade of Territorial Defence was established on 11 June to commemorate the date of the introduction in 1993 from the United Kingdom and the burial on the clearing of the “Excus” in the dry-day forests of the ashes of Major Eugeniusz Gedymin Kaszyński, ps. “Nurt”. The Minister of National Defence by decision of 22 February 2019 gave the 10th Świętokrzyska Brigade OT the name of Major cc. Eugeniusz Gedymin Kaszyński, ps. “Nurt” - an officer of the Polish Army, silent, last commander of the 2nd National Army Infantry Regiment, Deputy Jan Piwnik “Ponury”.
During the appeal, Colonel Sławomir Machniewicz, commander of the 10th ŚBOT, had the pleasance of thanking the soldiers and employees for their service by presenting distinctions and distinctions. He besides expressed his thanks for his cooperation with all uniformed services, state institutions and associations from the war. Świętokrzyski, with whom the brigade cooperates daily.
The strength of the 10th Świętokrzyska Brigade of Territorial Defence is more than 2 1000 inhabitants of this land, who reconcile their regular lives in a "civil" with service in the Territorial Defence Forces service their local community. These forces are soldiers of territorial military service, professional soldiers and workers. In particular, I thank the professional staff who directs and manages the brigade on a regular basis, as well as the instructors, who carefully transfer cognition during training. present I would like to thank all of you for your contribution to the construction and functioning of our 10th Świętokrzyska Territorial Defence Brigade – said Colonel Sławomir Machniewicz, commander of the 10th ŚBOT.
During the appeal besides took place the vows of soldiers appointed to the first rank of the officer. The soldiers completed the base flight course of the "Sonda" and were appointed to the rank of corporal. Twenty-three Territorials were given to the officer's sands.
The 10th Świętokrzyska Brigade of Territorial Defence presently has more than 2,000 soldiers. This figure consists of professional soldiers, workers, soldiers of active reserve and serving territorial military service. It is intended to carry out activities in the Permanent territory of work - in cooperation with non-military links of the state's defence strategy - carrying out tasks to safeguard freedom of manoeuvre of operational troops and allied forces. It is besides intended to participate in evacuation actions of civilians, combating the effects of disasters, natural disasters and terrorist attacks.
