Adam G.'s lawyer opposes the allegations made. The counsel contests the designation of donations for run purposes as the basis for the prosecution of his client. He stresses that these donations were intended to aid both the candidate and the full political organization from which he ran.

– I do not see a situation in which any motion of contributor is to be dependent on common benefits – stated lawyer Adam G. who announced a complaint on Monday to arrest the suspect.

Regarding this incident, in an interview with Onet portal, the spouse of the detainee spoke, while at the same time erstwhile organization Senator Law and Justice, Ewa Gawada.

– I'm shocked by what happened, I feel rage, powerlessness, sadness. I'm devastated by how in the majesty of law, utilizing the services, the Pegasus, and the elaborate evidence, you can break someone's life. And in political combat, I have no uncertainty about it. I believe that an independent court will sow the facts from the claims – she said.

– I besides hope that those behind this will not stay unpunished. As a Christian woman, I should not say this, but I hope that this evil that was done to Adam will return to them, to the leaders and performers. I admit, I have long believed in justice, but I think what was done to my husband is just pathology, ridicule— She added.

Both Eve Gawada and her spouse maintained ties with the Law and Justice organization (PiS). Gawęda served as a senator of the organization from 2019 to 2023, but before the current election she decided to leave the group Jarosław Kaczyński due to deficiency of place on the lists. In the election, she applied for a mandate as a candidate for Unpartisan Local Governments, but without success.

Her husband, Adam G., was a associate of the 6th word of the Law and Justice, but in 2010 he left the party, joining the formation Poland is the Most Important. In 2014, he re-attached with the PiS, winning the mandate of a councillor of the Silesian Seymik. In 2015, he became a senator of this party, and in 2019 he assumed the position of State Secretary at the Ministry of Energy and a government proxy for the restructuring of hard coal mining.
