On 6 August, Karol Nawrocki swore an oath before the National Assembly and took office as president of the Republic of Poland. Prior to the start of the presidential campaign, he was alternatively under-known to the wide public, serving as the president of the IPN.
He completed his past at the University of Gdańsk, where he obtained his master's degree in 2008. In 2013, on the basis of his work "Social opposition to Communist Power in Elbląskie Voivodeship 1976–1989", he received a doctorate in humanities.
In 2023, Nawrocki besides graduated from the global MBA in Strategy, Programme and task Management at Gdańsk University of Technology.

In the conversation with Onet, erstwhile lecturers of Karol Nawrocki mention him alternatively positively. 1 of them said that this 1 was sitting in the back bench and "early participated in the discussion." He adds that they later met at a technological conference, where Nawrocki raised the subject of organised crime in PRL. The president then "speaks interestingly about gangsters and smugglers".
Other university employees besides express akin opinions. 1 prof. of the University of Gdańsk notes that after obtaining his Ph.D., Nawrocka was no longer scientifically active, which is understandable due to his administrative responsibilities as manager of the planet War II Museum and later president of the IPN.
In an interview with the portal, the historian shared his concerns. “I am afraid that following private views and beliefs has dominated and dominated his actions independently of his duties,” he said.

Onet besides held talks with erstwhile fellow presidents from college. 1 of them described Nawrocki as a "average student", noting that although he seemed confident, this did not always translate into the results of the exams.
During his studies, Nawrocki took part in celebrations of the anniversary of the overthrow of the government of Jan Olszewski, and besides peaked in front of the home of Lech Wałęsa. After receiving his doctorate, he appeared at the University of Gdańsk, conducting occasional lectures.
One of the participants of his lectures confessed that Nawrocki then "made the impression of a good and reliable investigator and an interesting person".
