The Russian column entering Pokrovska did not match a regular army. Even muslim terrorists from ISIS in akin situations – during marches – looked better. Their technicians (improvised military vehicles) were based on solid Toyota pickups, while Putin's soldiers moved through the processed Deals and defiled UAZ. And a full bunch of civilian cross bikes. The image of misery and despair was completed by the east Ukrainian, foggy-muddy anturazh. “Mad-Max” in the mediocre version”, commented, referring to the postapo cinema classic. And although the mockery of the supposedly "second planet army" seems reasonable in this context, it must not be forgotten that these wartime paupers to Pokrovsk entered, which meant that the Ukrainians withdrew from it.

The fighting in the Pokrów section has been going on for more than 20 months, but with the beginning of November the aggressors intensified their actions. It is in it that there are tiny drones, which in the air are so much that Ukrainian analysts talk about “drone laps”. Russian pilotless pilots almost completely cut off Pokrowsk, paralyzing communication lines.
Delayed execution of the city
Russian command brought troops into the city on motorcycles and pickups, trying to exploit mobility and the surprise effect. The tactics work, although they bring tremendous losses, due to the fact that the technicians are not transporters, but “motors” do not even supply illusions of security. However, human permanence is not a reason for the Russian commanders to be peculiarly concerned, especially since in their approach to Pokrovska they gathered almost 120 1000 soldiers, 1 5th of the full of invasive troops. There is so adequate "meat" to push them into further attacks, after which the next quarters pass into Russian hands. These at the end of the second week of November controlled over 90% of the city. Previously, Ukrainian units, supported by a component of peculiar forces, attempted to "purify" the key Pokrovska points, but these actions were late and did not change the situation.

According to Russian sources, in fresh weeks, even 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers were to surrender – 2 full battalions. Although these numbers are surely inflated, it is impossible to ignore the fact that the deficiency of ammunition, food, and drugs forces defenders to make dramatic decisions. The main way of Rodynske-Pokrowsk was named another "way of death", and the cemetery of vehicles under the city reminds of the price of the defence. On the another hand, Ukrainian sources emphasize that Pokrowsk is inactive fighting, although it is hard to defy the impression that the contraventions under Dobropila and Myrnohrad only a prolonged execution of the city.
Until the reserves run out?
Although his destiny seems to be foregone, it is worth mentioning a situation that may affect the decision of Ukrainian command. Ukraine's anti-corruption services have revealed a massive scandal. People associated with president Volodymyr Zelenski robbed the state for over $100 million, drained out of a barely dead energy sector. Today, erstwhile Ukraine faces the effects of deficiency of energy (heating, water, electricity), this scandal ignites social sentiments. People know, of course, that it was the Russians who destroyed most of the power plants, but the fact that those associated with power acted like vultures with the carcass is the origin of widespread outrage. The government reacts (difficulty has fallen), while being powerfully censored. In this context, the final collapse of the symbol city could further worsen the President's and his background. And this gives emergence to the temptation to extend the defence despite the utmost inefficiency of this undertaking.
One thing is certain – the Russians will not stop. For them too, Pokrowsk has a symbolic meaning – to which I will return – but above all it is simply a gateway to Slavic and Kramatorska. Their collapse would mean taking over the full of the Donetsk, 1 of Vladimir Putin's desired goals. To the degree possible, it is another matter, without any influence on the fact that the Kremlian dictator will try, even at the cost of a complete exhaustion of reserves and "gun meat". The scene mentioned at the outset – recorded on 11 November – proves this determination. The movie revealed Russian sources, although it illustrates the sad fact about the Putinian army of mediocre people. But it is not just a image of any army that was most crucial here, but a proof that “ours are already in Pokrowsk” (in its far-off parts). In another words, there is simply a success that is worth showing off immediately. but that from this praise there were additional costs – apart from images –. specified that the geolocation data revealed on the recording facilitated the work of Ukrainian artillery. And as another column of “mad-maxes” entered Pokrovska, it was greeted by dense fire from cannons and mortars. Many Russians died, only due to the fact that the requirements of success propaganda prevailed over the necessity to keep the secrecy of march routes. That's the priority.
