The vote took place in 239 territory electoral commissions, the same as the another elections. The list of candidates for the legislature included Adam Roman Berkowicz from the Confederacy, Mateusz Małodziński supported by PiS, Monika Jadwiga Piątkowska supported by KO, PSL and Lewica and Ewa Sładek from the organization Together. Małodziński competed in the election to the legislature in Krakow in 2023, but lost to Bogdan Klich.
In January, however, the unofficial findings of the Interia indicated that PiS was to represent the erstwhile Małopolska school curator Barbara Nowak.
Two days before the Małopolska vote, Prime Minister Donald Tusk stressed that This will be "a kind of mobilization test before the presidential election". The head of the government thus decided to mobilise residents of the confederate and western districts of Krakow, as well as the Old Town, to vote for a candidate supported by KO.
