On May 29, during the celebration of Veteran Day, General Dyw. Arkadiusz Szkutnik donated his Buzdigan, the award “Polish Armed Forces”, to the auction of the Foundation “Help for Veteran”. It was won by young chore. Marek Wójcik, and the income from it was supported by young chore. The auction winner, alternatively of putting the prize on the shelf, handed it over again for the auction.
Gen. Dyw. Arkadiusz SzkutnikCommander 18th Mechanized Division, was awarded the Buzdigan, a prize awarded by the ‘Army Poland’ for commanding Operation Safe Podlasie and to improve border service conditions. During this year's Veteran Day celebration, held on 29 May in Gdynia, the general donated his discrimination to the auction of the “Help for a Veteran” Foundation, which helps missionaries. “I dedicated this award to all 18th Division soldiers and their hard service at the border,” says the winner. However, he decided that Buzzygan would not cover himself with dust on the shelf on the bookcase, but would do good, which means he would go to a charity auction. “This is our common gift to a friend who needs our help,” adds the general.
The bid was won by young chor. Marek Wójcik, a soldier of the 18th Bomber Regiment, a divisional unit commanded by Gen. Szkutnik. He offered the highest price for Buzdygan, or 16 1000 PLN. – I am happy to engage in various charity projects and frequently participate in auctions on the profile of the Foundation “Help for a Veteran”. erstwhile I saw a image of Buzdygan, I thought I had to get it – the officer said.
Joanna Janik, president of the “Help for a Veteran” Foundation, was curious in observing the bidding process. Many soldiers have raised the stakes and the bids have increased. “This was an example not only of brotherhood, but besides of support that strengthens religion in people and good,” says the head of the foundation. He besides ensures that the full amount quoted will be utilized to rehabilitate the young dir. Aldona Raszewska.
Aldona Raszewska served in the Polish Army for over 15 years. 5 times she participated in missions outside the country: X, XII and XV PKW changes Afghanistan, XIII PKW change Iraq and X PKW change Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a nurse, she saved the lives of soldiers, supported local children, organized gatherings and medical “white Sundays”. She has always helped others, and present she is struggling with a severe illness – a cancer of the kidney. Treatment and costly therapies, as well as broken spine and lower limbs' weakness, made it require constant care and intensive rehabilitation. “We have covered the costs of adapting the bathroom for people with disabilities, which amounted to PLN 63 1000 and we finance further rehabilitation of the veteran”, says Joanna Janik.
Needs are huge, which is why I'm sick. Marek Wójcik gave the bid-off Buzzygan again for the auction to support the young man, Aldona Raszewski. “This motion shows how much we can accomplish erstwhile we unite forces,” adds Joanna Janik.

The Buzdigans of the monthly magazine "Army Poland" have been awarded many times to auctions aimed at supporting those in need. The income from it (i.e. PLN 10 thousand) was allocated to the Fund’s account “I support quietly and effectively”. In 2023, the same was done by Colonel Krzysztof Balina of the Centre for peculiar Forces Training.
Let us remind you that the buzdigan goods' banner began in 2019 erstwhile Colonel Szczepan Głuszczak auctioned Buzdigan, who for “Project Warrior” (veterans trained martial arts under the supervision of the masters) was awarded by readers of “Polish Armed Forces”. The bid was won by soldiers from the 12th Wielkopolska Territorial Defence Brigade. Over 2 1000 zlotys went to the household of the Lost Soldiers Association “Memory and the Future”. The territorials returned Buzdigan to Colonel Deaf, and this 1 handed him over for another auction. – Giving Buzzigan to auction did not mean that I underestimated this award," the officer reserves. He assures that it was 1 of the most crucial and most valuable distinctions he received during his service in the Polish Army. His Buzdigan went to auction 10 times. He brought a full of over 60 1000 zlotys, which supported, among others, close gendarme, who died in a motorcycle accident, bomb squads from Gliwice or the boy of a soldier who faced severe illness.

On the Facebook profile of the Foundation “Help for a Veteran” there are auctions for young people by Aldona Raszewskiska – anyone can aid by passing on the fantasies, bidding or making donations on the Foundation website. Mł. chor. Marek Wójcik announces that he intends to bid Buzdigan again by Gen. Szkutnik. – During the “Iron Gate 25” exercise I was amazed – I got a Buzdigan miniature and it will be on the shelf on the regale, reminding me of this award – summarizes the commander of the 18th Mechanicalised Division.
