During the celebrations of the 107th anniversary of the outbreak of the Wielkopolska Uprising in Poznań, Karol Nawrocki gave a speech which echoed social media. – The Wielkopolska insurgents undertook their fight on behalf of their fathers, mothers, grandparents and great-grandparents, (...). They undertook a fight to make Poland Polish – he said.
Burza opened the words of the president of the Republic of Poland, in which he stated that Poland "is open to the West, but besides ready to defend the western border of the Republic, as the Wielkopolska insurgents knew".
Donald Tusk responds to Karol Nawrocki's words about "defence of the western border"
Donald Tusk posted a comment on the X portal (ex-twitter) regarding the last message made by the head of state. "President Nawrocki again pointed out the West as a major threat to Poland. This is the essence of the dispute between the anti-European bloc (Nawrocks, Braun, Mentzen, PiS) and our Coalition. A dispute of deadly serious, a dispute over our values, security, sovereignty. East or West," wrote the head of government.
The Prime Minister's entry was filled with comments from right-wing politicians. "How can you be specified an embarrassing liar? The main threat? I think you are experiencing any emotional problems after the president brought the Christmas tree," said Dariusz Stefaniuk, MP of Law and Justice.
"Poland does not gotta choose between East and West – Poland has its own way. The top threat is not geographical directions, but politicians who divide citizens and scare their own people" – we read in a commentary left by Arkadiusz Mularczyk, the Euro MP of the Law and Justice.
Konrad Berkowicz, a Confederate MP, added the comment: "Rattles, shootings, kidnappings, murders – these are at society level. At the ruling level, almost the same as here – that is nepotism, corruption and gagging the opposition. This is the West you're defending."
Let us remind that earlier Nawrocki's speech was summed up by abroad Minister Radosław Sikorski. "I want to reassure the president that as long as Germany is in NATO and the EU and is ruled by Christian or social democrats, the threat of our western border is nothing," wrote the head of the MFA.
