During the June arms fair Hemus in Plovdiv, Bulgaria WZL No. 2 from Bydgoszcz will advance their drones: DragonFly, Orlik and Visionary. The second is curious in the Bulgarian army. Her representatives have already held respective meetings with PGZ-et on the BSP issue. 1 of the options considered by Sofia is the acquisition of Wizards under SAFE.
The Bulgarian Ministry of Defence is considering respective ways of obtaining the Visionaries, including 2 key ones related to the EU SAFE programme, as the unofficial edition of the Polish-Army portal has learned. The first option (and preferred) is the acquisition of drones together with the Polish Army, and the second independent order of them in the Polish industry, which would be combined with a transfer of know-how and launch of licensed production of Visionaries in Bulgaria.
The Bulgarian delegation spoke to PGZ-et about our unmanned workers last year International Defence manufacture Salon In Kielce. These talks resulted in later bilateral work visits and invitation of WZL No. 2 to present the Visionaries at the Hemus arms fair held all 2 years in Plovdiv.
Visionaries go to export
Why the interest in Bulgarian side Polish unmanned workers? At the government press conference on the EU SAFE programme, held at the end of February at PIT-Radwar in Kobyłka close Warsaw, among the equipment and weapons presented as the 1 that our government wants to cover with this mechanics and which the Polish armory offers for export, there were 2 types of drones produced by Military Aviation Plant No. 2 from Bydgoszcz – DragonFly rounds ammunition and Reconnaissance Unmanned Visionfinder.
These structures were not at the conference accidentally. Polish Armed Forces Group promotes his drones in fact, at any large abroad exhibition event in the arms manufacture and this brings results in the interest of armies of another countries. 1 specified country is Bulgaria, whose armed forces are looking for unmanned reconnaissance structures of the mini class, and that is the visionary.
Light and fast
The viewfinder weighs just over 13 kg and although it can fly at 120 km/h, its plan allows for a crucial (up to 60%) short-term overshoot.
It is akin with another volatile properties. Although the maximum flight tallness of the Visionfinder oscillates within 4000 m, and the flight dimension is over 3 hours, the Visionaries were tested safely with much higher values.
As a standard, drones, which went to Polish soldiers last year, and whose deliveries will end in May, are equipped with a two-sensor optoelectronic head capable of working in all weather conditions (also in fog) both day and night.
