Bulgarian Parliament yet Approves F-16 Purchase

Bulgaria's parliament yet adopted an agreement on Friday to buy 8 F-16 Block 70 fighter jets in the US. The contract is worth 2.2 billion levs (1.29 billion dollars). The first aircraft will be delivered in 2027. The government besides plans to buy or rent machines that, by the time of transportation of the first F-16s, will replace the MiG-and 29. Russian fighters are scheduled to be withdrawn from service in 2023.
