Georg Georgijew noted in Luxembourg that the date of the gathering of the leaders of Russia and the United States had not yet been set. However, he added that any action taken in the name of peace deserves support. The Minister besides stressed that Bulgaria, like most European countries, remains in favour of respect for Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity. In his opinion, the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski should besides participate in the talks.
The spokesperson for the Kremlin Dmitri Pieskov said that the way of the Russian President's flight to Budapest has not yet been established. He added that method issues related to the organisation of the Russian and American leader's gathering are to be discussed by Russian abroad Minister Sergei Lavrow and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
On the another hand, Hungarian diplomacy chief Peter Szijjarto announced that Hungary would do anything to guarantee that the gathering of the leaders of the United States and Russia could take place in Budapest.
