Brussels wants sanctions and suspension of free trade with Israel

The European Commission has proposed to suspend the free trade agreement with Israel due to the situation in the Gaza Strip. He besides wants to sanction 2 Israeli ministers. In order for the proposals to enter into force, the consent of the European Union (EU) countries is necessary.
