Israel refused to let 2 female MPs from the UK to travel to the country, who claimed to be part of the British delegation. The authorities accused them of "planning to spread hatred against Israel". The abroad Secretary in London, David Lammy, described the situation as "unacceptable". The incidental sparked a heated discussion between him and the Conservative leader.
