Former Royal Marines commander General Robert Magowan admitted in the pages of her authoritative magazine “Globe and Laurel” that British naval infantry took part in covert operations in Ukraine. As he wrote, the commandos supported “discreet operations in a hugely delicate environment” and their missions carried “high levels of political and military risk.”
