Preparation and conduct of defensive operations involving all units affiliated to LITPOLUKRBRIG. This task is addressed by soldiers from the Multinational Brigade based in Lublin, participating in the “Brave Band ‘25” staff exercises. Everything takes place under the watchful eye of representatives of the United States National Guard.
Staff training under the code name "Brave Band 2025" traditionally opens the training year in the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade. The exercises have been organized for years under the guidance of representatives of the United States National Guard. This time, however, representatives of 3 states – California, Pennsylvania and Illinois arrived in Lublin. – Indeed, this year we represent 3 states. However, our function is not changed – admits Colonel Timothy Newman of the United States National defender of Illinois. The American officer stresses that the guards support this venture as trainers and advisors. – We are the command of the division, i.e. the superior level for the brigade. The most crucial nonsubjective of the first part of the "Brave Band 2025" is to make a combat order for troops affiliated to the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade. This will be implemented during the second part of the training. – It is no secret that we have fresh personnel, fresh soldiers, due to the fact that the service at LITPOLUKRBRIG is rotating. Therefore, this year we start, as for years, the best possible training, during which we check the overall preparation of our staff for next year's exercises – he explains Brig-Gen Piotr LisowskiCommander of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade.
The script of this edition of the training provided for the improvement of a defensive operation in the fictional state of Euroland. The goal of the staff was to prepare the allies' troops to halt the aggressor on the Jason line's line of training set by the management. “The most crucial thing is the cooperation of the 3 nations. frequently the operation of 1 is simply a very large challenge, and here we share tasks between soldiers from Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine. Therefore, cooperation is crucial – says Colonel Paweł Maleszyk, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operational Affairs of LITPOLUKRBRIG, and details: "It is highly crucial to synchronise actions between maneuvering units and supporting units, but besides to usage the experience of war in Ukraine," added the officer.
Soldiers emphasize that the current theatre of war activities requires a complete change in the way of reasoning about conducting operations, but besides about planning them. – We are just after the rotation, as a consequence of which Ukrainian officers joined our unit, who have almost 3 years of experience in fighting in Ukraine – says Colonel Ramundas Janauskas, Chief of Staff of LITPOLUKRBRIG. The Lithuanian officer admits that 3 aspects are peculiarly important. – usage of unmanned aircraft on the battlefield, but besides widely understood electronic conflict and guarantee appropriate communication between the divisions and the command staff to keep continuity of command. These are key elements that play an incredibly crucial function in conducting and succeeding the full operation. The first part of the “Brave Band 2025” staff training ended with a combat order. Subdivisions affiliated to LITPOLUKRBRIG will now begin. Their task will be to carry out the tasks as ordered. Brigadier Command will check on the occasion whether its units are decently prepared for further exercises. There's a twelve of them this year. – This will be a very intense time for us, which we will end with the very large maneuvers “Maple Arch 2025” in Lublin, carried out jointly with the Canadian army – noted Brig.
