Euro MP Grzegorz Braun reported on Monday that for the next six months, until autumn, he was excluded from the plenary sessions of the Europarliament. The European Parliament has imposed a punishment on him for disturbing a minute of silence during the commemoration of the Holocaust victims.

"I received a conviction of 19 February, which will work for the next six months; by autumn I am excluded from the plenary sessions of the Europarliament" - said the politician in a video published on Facebook. "This is information for those who have noted my occasional, never longer than a fewer twelve seconds counting presence here" - added erstwhile Confederate policies, now a non-attached Euro MP.

Braun disrupted the occasional EP gathering on 29 January devoted to the memory of Holocaust victims. During a minute of silence he shouted respective times "Pray for the victims of judaic genocide in Gaza". At the request of the president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsoli was excluded from the gathering and removed from the hall in the escort of the Parliamentary Guard.

Exclusion from meetings and financial penalties

Braun, citing the letter he received from the EP chief, announced that his exclusion from the gathering would take 30 days. Given that the EP usually meets erstwhile a period all 4 days, this means that Braun will be able to return to the meetings only in the fall. As the politician added, the exclusion from the gathering is accompanied by "certain financial penalties, unconscionable must be said".

"I am opposed to the deficiency of remorse and the fact that I am a repeat offender" - emphasized Braun, referring to the punishment that the home imposed on him in February this year in connection with his speech during the debate on the Hungarian law prohibiting the promotion of sex change and homosexuality in schools. The MEP said, "How much is gender? Men, women and individuals with personality disorder".

For that statement, Braun was deprived of his right to participate in the deliberations for 2 days, and his diet was not paid for that period.

According to the EP website, the regular allowance of the Euro MP is €350. This is simply a lump sum covering accommodation, meals and another expenses at a time erstwhile the Euro MP works in the Europarliament. The regular allowance shall be a wage allowance.

Braun was removed on 17 January 2025 by a organization court from the Confederate ranks, as he had 2 days earlier announced his start in the presidential election against the party's advice for the candidacy of Sławomir Mentzen.
