The presidential candidate Grzegorz Braun burned on Tuesday the EU flag before the Nineth Cross from his uncle, located at the Uncle's mine in Katowice. manager of the Silesian Centre of Freedom and Solidarity Robert Ciupa described Braun's behaviour as scandalous. We are moved by the situation," he added.

Cross-Pomnik 9 of Uncle commemorates the death victims of the bloody pacification of the striker crew of this plant in 1981.

Earlier on Tuesday, Braun, along with fellow associate Robert Fritz (not) participated in - as they said - the "messel intervention" in the Ministry of manufacture in Katowice. The EU flag placed there Braun took off, trodden and took with him. Representatives of the department have announced a announcement regarding the demolition of property.

Fired the EU flag

After "intervention" in MP Braun and Fritz performed in front of the Monument-Cross at the Uncle's mine at a press conference entitled "How much will it cost to liquidate mines". At the beginning of the conference, Braun poured a flammable substance on the ground in front of the monument of the European Union flag, after which he set fire to it.

According to the movie coverage, which was made available on Braun's Facebook profile, the Euro MP after the flag was set on fire said "not the mine miners, Uncle and others, died at the hands of russian authorities, so that present the Eurosovian government was established on the Polish soils".

"A part of substance is burning here with the emblem of a non-existent state, which claims to manage and push the life, wellness and wealth of Poles" - he added. "These colours mean their actions by collaborators, volksdeutsche and judenrats, not by the authorities of independent Republic, who stand defender over the sovereignty of the Polish nation" - said Braun.

As he estimated, the biggest treasure of the Polish land is coal, and the EU and its "subcontractors" search to fill Polish mining. "This is simply a crime in the Polish people, due to the fact that we are dealing with a crime resulting in failure of property of large value" - the presidential candidate acknowledged.

– This is not why miners of Mine Uncle and others died at the hands of russian authorities, so that present the Eurosovian government was established on the Polish soils.

"We are performing with a patriotic programme to return to coal, to destruct treacherous, counter-effective, offensive organizations and ministries in Poland, with peculiar emphasis on the Ministry of industrial decommissioning, the Ministry of Environment and Climate" - said the Euro MP. "We will implement the program of reactivation of the Polish mining manufacture and Polish healthy coal energy based also, but not necessarily exclusively, on our own resources" - declared Braun.

"People who have buried Krupiński mines, Makoshowy, prepare for akin crimes in another places that have demolished Ostrołęka Power Plant, we will bring them to court. In the average world, we would put them against the wall - after issuing appropriate sentences. Unfortunately, there is no primary punishment in the penal code yet. I hope that this will come back" - stressed Braun.

"Scandalic"

He commented, asked by PAP, Robert Ciupa, manager of the Silesian Centre for Freedom and Solidarity, which as an institution of the local government of Katowice and the Silesian state cherishes, among others, the memory of the assassins of the miners of Wujek in the war state and about the independency conflict of this period.

The head of the institution, which operates in the building now being expanded, based on the dug-up buildings of his uncle, noted that The SCI is apolitical and avoids commenting on the actions of politicians. However, Grzegorz Braun's behaviour was assessed as: "scandalous".

"The memory of the fallen mine miners Uncle is simply a place of remembrance where people who gave their lives for our freedom are paid tribute. all day I walk past this monument and bow my head, thanking them for their blood sacrifice. That's what this place is for. If anyone wants any demonstration at the monument of fallen miners, they should be there in 1981 and then stand with them and manifest with them.“The manager said.

He pointed out that political statements happen under the monument of the victims of the pacification of the mine Uncle, but – in his opinion – this is not the right place for them. "We are afraid about this situation. Of course, this is simply a public place, and we don't forbid anyone from taking a stand, paying tribute. But how any of the candidates do it is already evidence of it” added Robert Ciupa.

Protest in Mine Uncle

Protest in the Katowice mine Uncle started after the martial law was introduced, to the news of the arrest of the company head of Solidarity Jan Ludwiczak. As a consequence of the pacification of the mine by militia forces and military on 16 December 1981, they died: Józef Czekalski, Krzysztof Giza, Ryszard Gzik, Bogusław Kopczak, Zenon Zając, Zbigniew Wilk, Andrzej Pełka, Jan Stawisiński and Joachim Gnida. 23 miners were injured by bullets, and many suffered lighter injuries.

Part of the Cross-Pomnik in front of the mine Uncle is placed on the right side of the main part of the monument a colt, in which the urns were placed with the ground from the graves of miners - victims of pacification.

The police are investigating the case.

On Tuesday afternoon, Silesian police reported on social media that Katowice police officers conduct activities in connection with the event, which occurred on that day at around 10 a.m. at the MP office in Katowice. "One of the candidates for the Office of the president of the Republic of Poland lifted the flag of the European Union and left the building, taking it with him. The event was broadcast in public space" - wrote representatives of the press office of the Silesian police.

They pointed out that police officers securing preventive events related to candidates' visits to the region had begun the essential actions to clarify the circumstances of the event. "It was established that the value of the flag taken was about PLN 400, and the object itself was then burned in front of Uncle's mine in Katowice. presently police are conducting activities and collecting evidence" - noted Silesian police.

Tuesday morning The European Parliament voted in Strasbourg to waive the immunity of Euro MP Braun concerning respective investigations, including Braun's extinguishing of Khanuk candles in the Sejm. The waiver of immunity opens the way for Polish authorities to conduct proceedings against politics.
