Grzegorz Braun / photograph YT / Janusz SwallowDuring the ceremony in Domastawa, Grzegorz Braun pointed out that the issue of the exhumation of victims of Ukrainian genocide in the Kresach region is not a subject that can be negotiated. He besides expressed his gratitude to the building committee of the monument in Domastawa, as they fight “in the sphere of civilizational standards”.
The last witnesses of this communicative bear witness and these testimonies to past pass through and let for reliable research, due to the fact that it is besides due to victims. Not only mourning in Polish, Catholic and another rites, not only memory understood as a certain abstraction, moral challenge. But here, too, we request a legal judgment.
And that is not optional, ladies and gentlemen. It's not something that any politician, even the highest politician, is allowed to drop like a card in diplomatic negotiations, wave his hand, let go. "And let's not talk about these exhumations anymore, so that we can talk more pleasantly." This must not be done, due to the fact that it is not only a national duty, a spiritual duty, to complete the mourning, which they have said here, so beautifully preceding me, but it is besides a work of criminal law.
Human remains, bones, ashes, desecrated in the final moments of the lives of the victims and desecrated immediately after death by the deficiency of Christian burial. They request not only the court of history, but they demand, under the law, that there be exhumations, that the remains be extracted, examined, that an analysis, attention, forensics be carried out. So that the anatopathologists, the doctors, the court, the prosecutors, the investigators, the good cops we inactive have in the Republic, so they can do their job. That's what the law wants.
Or Volyn, east Małopolska and beyond, or Jedwabne. That's what the law wants. And it is not allowed to policy this issue and to treat it as, I repeat, optional, discretionary, at the disposal, to acknowledge, depending on the humor and temperature of the global dialog conducted with this or that by this or this note of the minister or president. They have no right, neither the president, nor the Prime Minister, nor any another ministers, ambassadors, have no right, they are not the holders of this truth.
And this is our standard of civilization, so different from anti-civilization standards, those who insist on the fact being buried forever, virtually and figuratively. So, in this case, the Polish people and their beautiful representation here gathered present and the construction committee, erecting this monument with the mayor at the head, bowing, acting, honourable states, not only in the sphere of the best understood patriotic and national sentiments. Here you fight – and you have already won a lot – in the sphere of civilizational standards. So your work is simply a work for the good of not only Poles, Polish patriots, who have been accused of worship and religion for being them. You are besides fighting for the greater good, attention, for the world. For Ukrainians, Jews, Moscals, Germans, Anglo-Saxons who besides looked at it, allowed it, and after the war they worshipped Ukrainian genocides, then for their common good you act and God's loving reward for doing so much.
