All scientists got utilized to half the scientists representing American laboratories having Chinese names. For Europe, this is less, but besides a lot.
I am now at a large conference and with surprise (not so much!) I find that there are now many Western names with affiliation of Chinese laboratories.
Brain drain in the other direction begins. I myself had an offer of employment in China a fewer years ago - wage 3 times higher than in Poland, the chance to deal exclusively with physics (i.e. material engineering in my case), not bureaucracy. And fantastic Chinese food for tiny money. I did not, but I am not amazed that the Americans and Europeans decide to work in China.
