Bożena Ratter: Fight as a Polish soldier always fought. Tough and chivalrous

At the turn of July and August 1944, General Maczka's 1st Armoured Division landed in Normandy. Operationally subordinate to the British 1st Corps began operations completed on 29 October with the capture of Breda. General Maczek, commander, a man of large culture, wanted to minimize losses among civilians. General Maczek utilized to say to his soldiers: “Fight as a Polish soldier has always fought throughout history. The 1st Armoured Division became a symbol of triumph and freedom in the Netherlands. Jerzy Hungarian, an AK officer, was a witness and associate of those days and the events that took place then, and writes in his Lviv Home Army:

After planet War II, many Ukrainian OUN UPA criminals and German battalions to avoid work for their actions from the global Court of Justice in The Hague, took refuge in Canada and the US. After the execution of Poles they took their papers and under their names they hid and hid so far. The property stolen from victims enabled them to immediately start their business in the countries in which they were found, and the abroad intelligence service was besides paid. These “activators” rise their children in a spirit of hatred for Poles. Therefore, if politicians advocate good neighbourly relations and at the same time hide crimes against the Polish nation, their statements cannot be considered as a credible position of the Union of the Polish Kombatants and erstwhile political prisoners in 2003.
