During the press conference, Confederate leaders presented a critical assessment of Prime Minister Donald Tusk's proposals for the Polish Presidency of the European Union. It has been pointed out that the government's programme, focusing on the broad concept of "security", is devoid of specifics and more like an component of the presidential run than a real global action plan.

"The government has not yet presented any concrete legislative solutions that could be implemented in the European Union. There is besides no debate on this issue at the level of the European Parliament, nor among think-tanks or diplomacy," said Krzysztof Bosak during the conference.

Three pillars of Confederate policy: migration, climate and food

In consequence to the government's proposals, The Confederation presented an alternate program based on the hard implementation of the Polish national interest. The leaders of the group identified 3 key areas which they felt needed immediate action: migration policy, climate policy and food security.

Migration policy: end of migration pact

The Confederation demands the immediate termination of the migration pact and its replacement with effective protection of the external borders of the European Union. The proposed actions include EU backing for border safety and simplification of deportation procedures for illegal immigrants.

"Instead of relocation, we request real protection of borders and the fast deportation of people who have entered the Union illegally", the conference indicated. Confederate leaders argued that the current EU approach to migration issues does not solve the problem at origin and exposes associate States to destabilisation.

Climate policy: removing bureaucratic barriers

According to the Confederation, the current climate regulation of the European Union increases energy costs and limits the competitiveness of the economy. The group proposes removing bureaucratic barriers to manufacture and developing unchangeable energy sources.

"Europe must have inexpensive energy to compete with another global economical blocs", noted 1 of the leaders of the Confederation. The proposal included the termination of the European Green Deal and the suspension of the Mercosur Agreement.

Food security: protecting Polish farmers

The last pillar of the Confederate programme is to guarantee food safety and defend Polish farmers from unfair competition. Group leaders stressed the request to defend the agricultural marketplace from the import of inexpensive food from non-EU countries.

"Poland must be self-sufficient in food and defend its farmers from unfair competition", argued. According to the Confederation, investing in local agriculture and supporting the improvement of national food producers is crucial.

Summary

The Confederation accuses the government of deficiency of concrete and realistic action plans for the Polish Presidency of the EU. In response, the group proposed an alternate approach focused on 3 areas: migration, climate and food. Confederate leaders emphasize that their proposals are aimed at protecting Polish national interests and improving the economical and social situation of the country.
