Border security: fresh challenges on the east border

The Polish border with Belarus is becoming an increasingly delicate point on the map of Europe. More and more migrants are trying to get into our country, but not only is this a threat. A fresh component has late emerged in the migrant side – filming the Border defender reaction. The spokesperson for the Ministry of abroad Affairs, Jacek Dobrzyński, warns that this could be a deliberate action in hybrid operations.

There has been an increase in attempts at illegal border crossing with Belarus in fresh days. On Thursday 22 people destroyed the method barrier and tried to scope Poland. The Border defender reacted rapidly and effectively, but a fresh problem arose – 5 men remained on the Belarusian side and threw stones at Polish services, and the full event was filmed. This fresh component of activity can be utilized for propaganda to show that the Polish border can be easy overcome.

The Ombudsman assures that Poland has full control of the border with Belarus. There is no passage, and the Polish border is sealed. The sharpening will last for 60 days but may be extended for a maximum of 60 days, with the consent of the Sejm. At 186 km long border with Belarus stands a steel dam with a tallness of 5.5 metres. Since 13 June 2024, the buffer region of the Podlaskie section has been operating.
