The "birthday" festival at the 249th anniversary of the American Land Army in Fort Belvoir, Virginia has become an chance to organize a ceremony to name SGT Stout to a mobile anti-aircraft defence strategy very short-range M-SHORAD (Maneuver-Short scope Air Defense). The Americans decided to celebrate Sergeant Mitchell W. Stout in this way, who during the Vietnam War grabbed a grenade thrown into the shelter and covered it with his body, thus protecting his colleagues. For this exceptional act of bravery, Sergeant Stout received the posthumous Medal of Honor - the highest military honour in the United States.
