Artists from all over the country met at the camp in Toruń to train and compete as part of a group of rocket troops and artillery “Mars-25.3”. For over a week, the sky over Toruń was tearing the bang of shots from modern K9 or WR-40 Langust. Many older guns were besides fired, where soldiers presented their craft despite restrictions.
The group was 1 of the most crucial training projects of rocket troops and artillery in 2025. They were organized in late November at the Police Training Centre of the Rocket and Artillery Military Training Centre in Toruń. As part of the exercises, soldiers, among others, played fighting systems, perfected tactics of the operations of WRiA troops and subdivisions, taking into account the experiences of the conflict in Ukraine, but besides fought for the title of master of artillery fire of land troops 2025 and the best branch and subdivision of WL artillery.
After carrying out a number of theoretical and applicable tasks, representatives were best evaluated 16th Mechanized Division. Including 16 DZ 1 Mazury Artillery Brigade She won the best squad category, and 1 of her officers won the WL artillery fire championship.

The winning division came to Toruń from 2S1 self-propelled cloves 122 mm. It was the oldest equipment active in the competition due to the fact that another sub-units had 152-millimeter self-propelled cannons and 155-millimeter self-propelled jacks K9. The carnations required a lot more effort from users erstwhile performing tasks than newer systems, which only confirmed quite a few experience, assembly and excellent preparation of representatives of 15 BZ. “As a squadron from the general military brigade, we have shown that we can not only compete, but we can besides win with peculiar regiments and artillery brigades,” says Colonel Lukasz Sielawa, commander of the winning squadron.
Competition in Toruń consisted of 3 stages. The first was to test the cognition of the squadron commander, the fire-control officer and the fire battery commanders. In the theoretical part, soldiers were judged in the field. A dozen-member committee examined elements of preparation for shooting and fire management: reconnaissance organization, geodesic, technical, ballistic, meteorological, setting organization.
The next day, the competition focused straight on driving fire. We had to carry out 2 fire tasks No. 6 with combat ammunition, that is, firing the mark with an intermediate fire without firing – says Colonel Sielawa. It adds that the order of performance of tasks and targets were allocated randomly. At this stage, the accuracy and timing of the fire task were assessed. The officer besides stresses that the success of his squadron was the consequence of the work of the full squad during a three-day rivalry. In addition, the points earned by the sub-chapter in the first phase worked in favour of the Mazury brigade, which carried out the task with barrel and rocket artillery at branch level.
Prime Minister Sielawa points out that although Carnations have gone to Toruń, the 15 BZ self-propelled artillery division already has all 24 Haubice K9 and will shortly adopt the self-propelled WR-40 Langust rocket launchers and FlyEye Unmanned.
– Our K9 are already armed and full operational. Soldiers of the self-propelled artillery squadron took courses at training centers on K9 and WR-40," the officer says. He emphasizes that his subordinates already know this equipment and know how to usage it. – Next year, we begin interior training only on fresh equipment – says Colonel Sielawa. At the same time, it does not hide gratitude for buying fresh equipment that replaced 40-year-old carnations.
