Bodnar points out irregularities in the presidential election

Justice Minister Adam Bodnar sent a letter on Thursday to the talker of the Sejm of Simon Holown, pointing to irregularities in the procedure for determining the validity of the presidential elections. The Media Service of the Chancellery of the Sejm reported that the marshal would mention to the text of the letter at the next session of the Sejm next week. The next session of the Sejm is scheduled on 22-25 July.

In consequence to the question of the possible impact of the letter on the postponement of the swearing-in date, the BOM recalled that the marshal convened a gathering of the National Assembly for August 6, 2025. This date remains unchanged.

Doubts as to the position of the House

Bodnar indicated in his letter that the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs in the light of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland and the law of the European Union "cannot be considered a court".
