The uncovering of irregularities
Minister Adam Bodnar reported that he had forwarded a letter to the talker of the Sejm, Simon Holownia, in which he expressed reservations about the procedure for examining the electoral protests and stating the validity of the presidential elections.
In the document, he included 12 points critical of the activities of the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs of the ultimate Court, whose legality – due to the establishment by the alleged neo-KRS – he challenged in the light of the Polish Constitution and EU law.
In addition, the Minister revealed that a full of 17 proceedings were conducted concerning possible irregularities in the course of elections, including the analysis of ballots and voting protocols from 249 regional committees.
Due to the importance of the presidential elections and the constitutional right to vote, as announced earlier, I informed the Marshal of the Polish Sejm present about all the irregularities and legal doubts that occurred in the procedure of examining the electoral protests and determining the validity of the presidential elections - Bodnar wrote on his X profile.
Fritz and Braun on the fork
On the same day, Minister Adam Bodnar applied to the European Parliament to waive immunity to Grzegorz Braun and to the Sejm to waive immunity to Roman Fritz. Braun is accused of 4 fresh crimes, including the demolition of the LGBT+ seismic exhibition, the theft of the flags of the European Union and Ukraine, and the talk of the organisers of the “Windkile” action. Fritz, associated with the Confederation of the Polish Crown, was to participate in the theft of the EU flag from the seat of the Ministry of manufacture in Katowice.
As the national prosecutor Anna Adamiak recalled, this is the 3rd motion to waive immunity for Braun. The prosecution plans to press charges against him in connection with 17 different actions, including the usage of a fire extinguisher for the extinguishing of Khanukov candles in the Sejm, the disruption of a lecture on the Holocaust at the German Historical Institute, removal of a Christmas tree from the court in Krakow, violation of the immunity of a doctor in Oleśnica and dissemination of false information about Auschwitz on Radio Wnet.
At the same time, police are conducting activities related to the engagement of Braun and his supporters in an incidental in Jedwabne, where a car was blocked, which was moved by the chief rabbi of Poland, Michael Schudrich. Braun was present during this event.
